Biochar is a carbon negative, soil amendment that can be designed to help reclaim and improve marginal soils by increasing soil water capacity and enhancing fertility, while also generating high-value renewable energy co-products during its production.   

BIOCHAR can be found all over the world in soils as a result of vegetation fires and historic soil management practices. Intensive study of the rich dark earths of the Amazon due to biochar, has led to a wider appreciation of its unique properties as a soil enhancer.
